“2013 was a warm, dry vintage in the Yarra Valley. Thankfully healthy winter rains meant the vineyards were prepared for any hot spells throughout the growing season. The main challenge was finding space in the winery because several varieties ripened at the same time. Fruit flavors were excellent and slightly more full bodied than the 2012’s. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are beautiful wines with balanced acidity and plenty of flavor. Dry reds look fantastic with excellent structure and length.” Rob Dolan – Winemaker

A LIFE IN WINE
After 25 years of making wine for some of Australia’s most iconic wineries, our fearless leader (and local legend!) Rob, made the decision to channel his creative energy into his own label. And so, Rob Dolan Wines was born.
Rob’s belief in creating wines of real character flows through everything we do. Our wine, therefore, is a reflection of everything we love about our home in the Yarra Valley – bold, generous and exceedingly likeable—a bit like the man himself!
